Lincoln Golf Club - Lincoln

Lincoln Golf Club was founded in Lincoln City in 1891 and moved to its present site at Torksey, near Lincoln, in 1903. The championship standard course offers a variety of holes from links style to parkland, and with its mature tree lined fairways, areas of gorse and heather, and just a touch of water, provides a true test of golf in a delightful setting. The course is built on a free draining sandy subsoil which Peter Alliss in his book 'The Good Golf guide' describes as 'near ideal golfing terrain'. A computer controlled irrigation system ensures that the course stays in peak condition all year round and is rarely closed due to adverse weather conditions.
